Nellis AFB 09-03-2017.

Since Nellis is well covered at this forum for now only a report about the day, full log to follow later.

Flying started early: at 6AM already four raptors were in the air. Of the overview mentioned in the Nellis Topic almost all participants were seen with only 2 ALs, One CO, a Spanish EF2000 and an E-2C missing. Starting at 08.30, flying was low till 10.30 when two RAF Typhoons left supported by Voyager ZZ338. The 140th Wing commander was confirmed as 87-0231.

Also still present (and flying) were 10 SJ F-15Es, 5 FA-18Fs from VFA-103 and the 5 T-38Cs. Only aircraft on the ramp not read off were three L-159As from Draken and some A-4s. Also the two US Army CH-47s from LV north came twice in during the afternoon.

The Spanish had some nice transports on the ramp next to their detachment, looks like the detachment departs this weekend
