Extraction of oil and natural gas is done on the spot.

The locality is in the middle of the Amazon forest, in the municipality of Coari.

According to officials, landings and takeoffs were suspended after the accident.

Because the access of employees is only by air, they are unable to leave the premises.

According to Petrobras,
the aircraft moved from the main runway at Porto Urucu Airport to the exhaust area occurred at 10:45 p.m. on the night of the 20th.

The company reported that the aircraft was carrying four crew professionals . No one was injured.
Petrobras said it has communicated to the relevant authorities and will set up a commission to investigate the causes.

According to an employee who prefers not to identify himself, the accident occurred during a rainfall on Monday night.
"Whoever was on board stays there, whoever has to board can not go.
They are waiting for the release," he said.

Still the official said, the plane skidded on the track and stopped in the woods. The transportation of employees working in Urucu is done by aircraft of a commercial company.

According to the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), Porto Urucu Airport is a private airfield in conditions to receive landings and departures. The lane is temporarily closed due to the incident.

The gas extracted in Coari feeds the 663 kilometers of gas pipeline with passage and thermoelectric supply in the municipalities of Caapiranga, Anori, Anamã and Codajás.

Before arriving in Manaus, the fuel also passes through the municipalities of Iranduba and Manacapuru.

Manaus has a distribution network of 93 kilometers long. Of the total, about 35 kilometers are located in the Industrial District.
