Cubana de Aviación reported that it suspends AN-158 flights due to lack of spare parts and resource

The only operator of the Ukrainian An-158 passenger airliner, Cubana de Aviación, a Cubana airline with a fleet of six such airliners, recently reported that it suspends flights of these aircraft due to a lack of spare parts, aggregates, the end of the warranty and unsatisfactory technical condition.

Since April 15, the plane with the onboard number CU-T1711 has ceased to perform scheduled flights. At the beginning of the month, April 1, from Santiago de Cuba to Havana, the last flight carried out the board with the registration of CU-T1716. A week earlier, on March 26, suspended An-158 flights with the on-board number CU-T1715. In April last year, due to problems with the ladder door, the airline was forced to stop operating the liner with the onboard number CU-T1712. At least, from July 2014 on maintenance there is An-158 with the registration number CU-T1710.

The only Cuban swallow that continues to fly remains An-158 with the onboard number CU-T1714.
