Non flyers in the 15.00 launch were 89-0040 TuAF F-16, two of the HLs (421 & 466) 3094 Lw and Rafale 353. However, shortly after the recovery one Rafale headed home, may have been that one.
More than the usual number of fast jets (plus the AWACS and the Lear Jet) flew so either the BVR pod has been upgraded or some were "spectators". AME Eurofighters in evidence were, C.16-21/11.01 & C.16-26/11.06 plus C.16-56/10007, C.16-60/10040, C.16-66/10064 & C.16-67/10090. Arriving after lunch were three two seaters CE.16-11/14.70, CE.16-71/CE.16-12 and one reported by a Famous French spotter as code 11.81. The -71 departed later.** CE.16-14 11-81.
Otherwise, all present and correct as per Sr Ways' notes.
Local reports (and apologies if I missed this in another section) state 4 of the stored Mirage F-1s have gone to the Tec School at Leon with two more (including a two seater) to Cuatro Vientos for "restoration".
Over at Eurocopter Tigre HA.21-17/10066 was flying (the -19 had been about last week).
All in all a good day out!
