Portuguese Air Force 65th anniversary activities

This year the Portuguese Air Force will celebrate its 65th anniversary. A number of events will be held for this, though no large airshow it seems. The main events are around Castelo Branco during the weekend of 1st of July, with an international airshow at the local airfield. Note that this is a very tiny airfield which cannot possibly host a major airshow. I truly wonder how big this event will be...

25 June - Montijo open day
30 June - 9 July - static display of several airframes in Castelo Branco (probably F-16 15100, Alouette 9379 and perhaps more)
2 July - airshow at Castelo Branco airfield
16 July - Ovar open day
6 August - Lajes open day
10 September - Sintra open day
10 September - Monte Real open day
14 October - Beja open day

You are absolutely right of course. Though I still find it odd that Monte Real and Sintra are open at the same day. I wouldn't be surprised if one of those is a mistake (but mentioned as such on the EMFA website).

Program for the Castelo Branco show is known now. It will include all types of the Portuguese Air Force (including Chipmunks), Patrulla Aguila and.... a KC-390! Of course the one that was at Le Bourget last week. This one arrived at Alverca last Wednesday and my guess is it will fly from Alverca on Sunday to Castelo Branco. According to the schedule it will make a flyby with an F-16 (or more, not clear) at 15.55.
