This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |
In France, we don't have so many people only collecting serials. Most of them take pictures and are called spotters.ehusmann wrote:That's a photographer contest, not a spotter contest.

But the most important is to shoot no ?Richard from Rotterdam wrote:semantics.
But in order to take a photo you have to spot the plane. Ergo, it is a spotter's contest.ehusmann wrote:A non-spotting photographer can send in pictures and win, a non-photographing spotter cannot win. Ergo, it is a contest for photographers, not for spotters.

I know, the necessary vs sufficient discussion remains tricky. But that's ok.PH-BRAD wrote:But in order to take a photo you have to spot the plane. Idea, indeed. Let's all send in a photo of a nice log, see how they value that! If indeed it is a 'spotters' contest it should be considered, no?SquAdmin wrote:Well, maybe there's a price for the best log as well
But if you don't have a picture, it didn't happen.....SquAdmin wrote:Well, maybe there's a price for the best log as wellehusmann wrote:A non-spotting photographer can send in pictures and win, a non-photographing spotter cannot win. Ergo, it is a contest for photographers, not for spotters.
