Bell Helicopter revenues were up $78 million, parent company Textron said. Textron’s third quarter results showed that Bell delivered more commercial models, the same amount of H-1s and less V-22s compared to last year’s third quarter.
Textron said Bell delivered 39 commercial helicopters, which is an increase of 14 units from the same quarter last year. The eight H-1s delivered was the same as last year’s third quarter. Five Bell-Boeing V-22s were delivered this quarter, which is six less than in the same quarter last year.
Segment profit for Bell was up $9 million. Backlog at the end of the third quarter this year was $5 billion, down $413 million from the end of the second quarter.
