Viborg: Have you noticed four helicopters flying over the sky in Viborg or Karup Friday morning?
It's the Air Force's Lynx helicopters, now thanks to after 37 years of service. The helicopters flew their last trip on Friday morning to mark their replacement by new ship-based MH-60R Seahawk helicopters.
The ancient helicopters have had very varied tasks ranging from the southernmost in the northernmost of the kingdom to the fight against piracy at the equator.
The helicopters flew from Karup at 10.15 and landed at 11 o'clock.
The plan was originally that the helicopters were going all the way around the midtjylland to Viborg, Ikast and Silkeborg,
but unfortunately for the helicopters,
the meteorologists announced Friday
that a semifinished weather phenomenon for helicopters called "freezing fog" lay above the midtjylland.
Therefore, it was "only" for a farewell trip to Viborg and back home accompanied by a Seahawk helicopter and by the Air Force's other helicopters.
