The first participants for the Danisch Airshow at Aalborg are listed on the official Danish Air Show facebook page.
Lithuania participates in the static display with the C-27J Spartan, an L-39 Albatros and the AS-365 Dauphin SAR helicopter.
Does anybody have experience with this airshow? For instance is the public area north or south of the runway/display line? Rehersal day = Saturday or Friday? Will there be a spottersday?
Thanks in advance
Paul
Been there in 2012 or so, which was a very wet edition with a very low cloud base.
Public area is north of the northern taxiway. They use the hangars and ramp for static with the old runway for flightline and some bigger aircraft on static (like C-17 and E-3 etc). Only the Danish viper operated from the shelter area, the Danish base attack was flown out of Skrydstrup.
The public parking was almost next to the flightline.
Pity for the weather then, but it was a nice show with some interesting visitors. Static isn't set up for photographers so if you want to take good pictures you want to go to the spottersday if they have any.
Is it possible to book a flight in the morning of the show, and fly back home in the evening right after the show? Or are all civil flights cancelled during the day of the airshow?
You can check with the airline offcourse. However in 2012 the KLM flew their regular flights. There is plenty of time in between the demo's by the way.
