Ha, if they introduced these colours over twenty years ago, it would have saved Atlas Air quite a lot of paint upon buying Lufti's B742s  !

Also, it will be easier to re-brand Brussels Airlines aircraft into Lufthansa's fleet hahaha  !

New Lufthansa design, might be changing in the future?

Since our first two planes with the updated livery landed on many places of this world
we noticed that for instance
the blue plaint on the plane appears to be significantly darker
than in the test environment –
especially in adverse weather conditions.

In this regard we will work on an optimization.

Luckily, they painted only three planes in the new colourscheme untill now.
My opinion is to leave the rest of the fleet in their current colourscheme and repaint these three planes back in the old scheme.

Grtz.

...and some more...

Lufthansa once again redesigned the livery introduced just under three weeks ago. This said a company spokesman to airliners.de.
The paint job is the first new of the airline for almost 30 years.

Specifically, the revision is about the intensity of blue on the tail of the aircraft:
"After landings in, for example, Hong Kong or New York,
we realized that the blue paint sometimes times much darker
than this was the case in the test environment -
especially in adverse weather conditions, "said the spokesman.

Yellow is used "accentuated"

The new livery had caused a lot of negative criticism, since the crane logo on the aircraft
henceforth gets along without the hue of yellow:

The animal-likeness is in the future much thinner and in white on dark blue ground.

The typical for Lufthansa, internal "fried egg" called blue crane icon on a yellow background disappears.

CEO Carsten Spohr had praised the focus on the outside of the aircraft
at the launch of the new brand appearance on a color.

In addition, the yellow has not completely disappeared,
but will be used in the future "accentuated" inside the machine. Also outside there is still the yellow:
