Most of you will know that Lisbon isn`t the busiest airport and lacks variety but not having been since 1993 a visit was long overdue to catch the TAP A330s, Embraer`s and ATR`s which I was very slack on. I also visited Cascais, Alverca, the museum at Sintra and a few preserved aircraft around the city.
The flight from Glasgow was £40 return with Ryanair, car hire was £24 for 3 days with Sixt exclusive of full insurance. I have my own policy for car hire cover which I purchased for £50 and is valid for one year.
I stayed at the Star Inn as I arrived very late on Friday. It`s only a short walk from the terminal. I moved to the Ibis Jose Malhoa which is under the flightpath about 3 miles out for the next two nights. Arrivals were mostly over the hotel except a short spell on the Saturday evening when they changed ends.

TAP aircraft not logged were 2 x A330s, 1 x E190 and 1 x E195.
A short visit to Alverca on Monday revealed 3 x Portugalia and 3 x China Eastern E145s. I didn`t have the time to park up and do what I believe is a long walk to try and see more and I wasn`t overly keen on leaving the car at the area I suspect the walk commenced from. On departure from Lisbon on Monday evening I was lucky to fly over Alverca and with a left hand seat I could count 19 E145s stored in various groups around the airfield. I`ve got a good idea what most of these are but would be delighted to here from anyone who has been recently or has confirmation of what was on the ground.
Read off were 2-TGHC and 2-TGHF both ex CES.
