This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Hello Frenkie,Frenkie wrote:Wow, really nice and clear pictures. Mind sharing settings/equipment used?
well Konverter I use not often sometimes in Ramstein Air Base (from the Bismarck Tower) ...with the Sigma EX 300-800mm you have with an EOS7D MKII as example effectly a 480mm to 1280mm lense WITHOUT any konverter!... with an 1.4 Konverter from Sigma EX System you have then effectly a 672mm to 1792mm Lense... but its not more usefull for high speed jet shots... many actionpictures in the past I shoot with the EOS1D Range Bodies! with a 1,3 factor sensor so you have the with the Sigma EX 300-800mm a 390 to 1040mm lense or with your lense a 195 to 780mm lense what in my eyes is still a powerfull combi! used Canon EOS1D MKIV with 16,1 mio pixle you can get used in mint condition for 900-1400 Euro ! and thats still much better in our branche then a 5DMKIV!Frenkie wrote:Seems about the same as the settings I use. I also tend to use ISO100 and keep it as low as possible, usually af F9. My main lens at the moment is the Sigma 150-600 Sport, but it seems you also use a converter for extra mm. Speed is at about 1/320 or faster?
My body is still bad though, haven't gotten round to purchasing a better one. After remoddeling my new house, I will upgrade the old Canon 60D to something better (probably a 5D mk IV or something).
