A Chinese military aircraft was spotted entering South Korea’s Air Defence Identification Zone (ADIZ) on 27 February 2018,

prompting the Republic of Korea Air Force (RoKAF) to scramble several fighter jets,
including Boeing F-15Ks and Lockheed Martin KF-16s,
according to South Korean media reports.

The Chinese jet, which is believed to have been a reconnaissance aircraft,
entered the ADIZ at 0934 h local time and flew 30 n miles northwest of Ulleung Island (also known as Ulleungdo) in the East Sea (also known as Sea of Japan)
before flying out of the ADIZ at about 1401 h,
the Yonhap news agency reported,
citing South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS).
