A Herc departed around 11 AM while I was driving towards the base. It smoked a little, could have been the Swedish C-130H which arrived the day before.
It was not possible to navigate the dirtroads around the base without a proper 4x4 so I had to hike a mile or so through the rain to get near the fence. No joy.. No heatwaves though, so with binos a lot more could be made if you're a numbercruncher. At least half of the Typhoons under the sunshelters and all Ospreys with a little walking back and forth. There were also 2 stored(?) Orions at the Ala 22 side. And of course the gorgeous SRF-5A coded 21-55 poled next to the main ramp. Hope to be able to properly id the other Fairchild tanker when I'm home.
