Tucson scrapyard question

Post by Melchior Timmers »

Hi all,

Seen at East Drexel road (at 32.148870, -110.878376) were the fuselages of 7 former USCG HH-52s.
Two could be identified as 1407 and 1463 but the others remained unknown.
Anyone more info on the other 5?

TIA.

Bizarrely the number seen seems to go from 7, to 5, and now back to 7 again....
I was told the five present in Nov17 were:
1372
1400
1407
1440
1463
The two still present in Apr17 which had "gone" (or not) by Nov17 were:
1359
1364
There were originally 8, the other one was 1422 which went to Scroggins in Las Vegas c 2014.
All originally from Sunsites AZ of course

Hi all,
On Sunday March 11th we have seen from left to right:
1407/46024/(2) "los Angeles"
...0?/(8) "Houston"
1463/(6) "7", the 7 is mark underneath cockpit
.... "North Bend"
..../(7) all metal

The () are spray painted markings on the helicopters

Hope this helps,

Greetz,
Frank Mink

Sorry, there were 5 indeed. The Google Earth picture messed up the amount.
Thanks for the replies.
