Hi Michel,

I think that your McChord C-17 was RCH984 96-0004.

This arrived on 16th, departed and quickly returned on 17th and finally departed on 28th.

Can't help on the C-5, I'm afraid.

Cheers,

Bob

For the C5's, 87-0044 departed ±11.00Z on the 27th. 84-0060 departed ±02.00Z the 27th. 86-0022 arrived ±07.30Z on the 27th.
So it's depending on what time you visited.

By chance there was event on base, reported on Armada Espanola twitter page as being the 30th Anniversary of the co-operation agreement for defence between Spain & the USA. From pictures posted the following were identified,

HA.18-12 01-316 AB212+
HS.9-15 01-515 SH-3H
HS.23-02 01-1002 SH-60B
+1 EAV-8B+ and a based Citation (not identified)
along with x4 helicopters off the USS Anchorage LPD-23 in Rota harbour
169249 YX42 AH-1Z VMM-166
169251 YX43 AH-1Z VMM-166
Couldn't identify the UH-1's from the pictures but possibly...
168948 YX31 UH-1Y VMM-166 reported in above thread
169236 YX32 UH-1Y VMM-166 from Scramble database and seen on internet as definately on the ships cruise
