The 28 aircraft from France to Romania did not apply for airspace beforehand and did not contact the Civil Aviation Authority when entering the airspace of the country. The Gripens returned to Kecskemét base after their identification, and the aircarfts landed at the Balatonkeresztur airport, where police officers took over the action against them.
