PA+119 Bad Honnef

Post by Jovel »

In Bad Honnef I saw Bell 47? PA+119. Is serial PA+119 fake or real and does anyone know the c/n?

Thanks for reporting!

50°37'59.01"N 7°12'59.58"O for the approximate coordinates.
http://www.flugzeug-bild.de/bild/milita ... pa119.html for a picture.

However, little leads on id, and PA-119 is not known as a B-47 by TF-104G:
https://www.flugzeugforum.de/threads/bw ... 061/page-5

Quick generic search shows no obvious hits. Photograph above does show some 'identifiable wear and tear', but without a lead to check against, that would be a needle in a haystack.

So, next time someone's around, please check the construction number (or the location where it should be):
Agusta Bell 47 LH cockpit floor.
Bell 47 LH side on instrument panel console.
Westland Bell 47 Sioux LH side rear firewall. (line-number).
And of course the instrument panel for a call sign plate.

Let's see if we can identify it...

Grtz,
