Hi there,
A special for the Wild Weasel fanatics.
From 19-21st August I visited Spangdahem air base to shoot some viper action. Loaded with my new Canon 1DX MII and Canon 100-400/4.5 ready to capture some hot stuff.
Flying began around 10.30 and 10-12 vipers went out every day for training sorties. At Spangdahlem the best light is when take off is at RW23 when the wind is westy. Till 13.30 this is the best light to capture these beauties, specially when they are armed with the whole shebang, the full SEAD (Suppression of Enemy Air Defences) configuration.
Well, hope you enjoy these "Warhawks"
cheers,
Reinier
