Just read the links in the post: the Sukhoi overran the serviceable part of the runway and entered a reconstruction area that apparently was so seriously 'under reconstruction' that the main gear was almost entirely ripped off.

I also read "Additionaly, the touchdown zone lights of runway 23L and runway centreline lights were unserviceable."

Night landing with no lights ??? ..... hmmmmmmm
