will now operate under the new trade name of SKEYES
Parliamentarians are surprised
Yesterday afternoon,
some parliamentarians were already surprised by the procedure followed.
Since Belgocontrol is an autonomous public company,
and therefore an offshoot of the Belgian State,
the only official name remains that stipulated in the Law of 21 March 1991 on the reform of certain public companies.
The problem occurred in 2015 with Belgacom,
which also launched a communication plan under the name Proximus,
without waiting for the law to be amended, before the legal green light.
Parliamentarians are already considering challenging the Minister of Mobility on the new name of Belgocontrol.
Contacted, spokesman Belgocontrol Alain Kniebs refuses to comment on this information,
wanting to reserve the scoop to his teams,
but confirmed that the name would change indeed.
