Hungary bought two A319

Yesterday the Defence Minister of Hungary confirmed the acquisition of two A319 transport planes, altough the media already knew some infos before and were published in the country...some facts:

- both planes are already bought, but still not in the country
- both planes are from Air Berlin ex D-ABGM and D-ABGS
- first plane arrive around march-april
- primary function of these planes will be expedition tasks (Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, Cyprus)
- price for both planes were around 40 million euro, including training and conversion

The Hungarian armed forces needed these aircraft for a long time, it is a great news.

Planespotters mentions that both had been stored at BUD airport since the demise of AB, end of October. But FR24 shows that both aircraft were flown to Rome beginning of December.

Yes both planes were painted in Rome after a few days went to the Czech Republic for further conversations.

Confirmed yesterday that the Defence Ministry will buy a third Airbus, no details which version.
