Hi Rene.

I was at the Show on Saturday. I didn't manage to access any of the hangars. But I did see a MiG-29 apparently in primer, it was visible through a set of windows in a hangar behind the static Cougars.
Could this have been 38 ? Which you have listed as being on its own.
Thanks in anticipation.

Behind the static the Afghan Mi-8 was clearly visible in a hangar.
The other mentioned hangars, with the Migs in it where seen from the static the last hangars on the right, way further than the static.

Rene.

Thanks for the reply. I am still a little confused.
Were the MiG-29's 38 / 39 painted in a normal scheme.
The one I saw was in primer, with no radome or canopy fitted.

Thanks.

Terry.

They where in normal colors. 38 was missing a lot of panels, and its radome, parked in the most eastern hangar, close to the 5 Migs on the flightline.
39 was mostly complete in the hangar with the Cougars and Mig-21 114, next to the hangar with the 38 in it.
These hangars had no windows, aircraft were only visible by entering the hangar, or when the Doors opened partially, which happened a few times during the day. The primer one we did not see unfortunately.

Hi Terry,

If you take a look on google maps than you can see 3 times 2 hangars next to each other, let's name them from left to right 1 till 6.
Hangar 7 is the dark green hangaar opposite hangar 5 and 6. In front of hangar 1 and 2 was the static.
Hangar 1: empty
Hangar 2: Afghan Mi-8
Hangar 3: Could not look into
Hangar 4: Could not look into
Hangar 5: Mig-29 39, Mig-21 114 and 2x AS-532AL
Hangar 6: Mig-29 38
Hangar 7: was empty but on the end a L-39 which flew was put inside.
The middle two hangars had nothing in them, at least not seen by us. In the left hangar of the

Rene.

Thanks for your reply. I didn't go anywhere near hangars 5 & 6.

Looking on GE. The MIG, painted in primer, that I saw. Was in the right hand side of hangar 2. (nearest hangar 3)

Cheers.

Terry.
