SAB Avio Havok and Drake 3D thrust vectored jets
Very unique and distinctive new RC jet aircraft designs from SAB Avio. You would think the Havok was inspired by Star Trek's Klingon Bird of Prey spaceship. Amazing aerobatic capability in the hands of the right pilots...and these guys were the right pilots. Filmed at Weston Park International Model Show near Telford, UK.

3 Twin Turbine Concorde Airliners in Close Formation
This was something you would very rarely see, if ever ! Three magnificent large scale twin turbine powered Concordes. Built to perfection, featuring smoke and nose droop...and all flown expertly in close formation.

Jase Dussia: Ignoring the Laws of Physics
Seriously, this guy has zero respect for the laws of physics! Any other RC pilot understands the basic concepts of gravity and lift and turbulence etc and stays within them...but not Jase. He just ignores those limitations and puts his airframe through unreal torture...all for the appreciation of the crowd at Weston Park International Model Show. Breathtaking stuff !

Jase is flying an Extreme Flight R/C Slick 580 powered by a Desert Aircraft DA120.

Eastern Lockheed L-1011 Tristar Airliner with RC Tug\Tractor
This Lockheed L-1011 Tristar would have been perfect by itself but when his son used the RC tug/tractor to pull it out to the runway...and pull it back to the pits...

Impressive multi-pilot prop hang ends with spectacular crash
14 pilots put up their rides for a combined prop hang for a Show record! Even with their prop hanging skills this was no easy feat. Avoiding all the other RC aircraft was challenging and there was at least one near miss. Unfortunately there was one crash at the end. One adventurous pilot tries to fly through the ring of fire and catches his wing ending in total destruction of the model.

Probably the best demonstration I have seen of Gunter Zielke's unique and innovative electronic smoke system. This also shows off the G-force initiation of the smoke system as the pilot performs some high speed aerobatics.

Our annual treat at seeing Dave Johnson's huge Avro Vulcan, powered by four gas turbine engines, flown at RAF Cosford. This year flown in formation with the equally large Victor flown by his son, Andy.

Probably the best example you will see of flutter on an aircraft. Ramy's first flight at Airliner Treffen Show nearly ends in disaster when the push rod on the rudder becomes lose and the flutter destroys the lower part of the rudder. Added to that a bad hinge on an aileron results in flutter of the left wing. It all could have gone very badly wrong...

Giant 1:6 scale Lockheed Super Constellation TWA 'Star of America' airliner
Owned and built by Keith Mitchell, this model took 5 years of combined design and construction. Its initial flights were taken under the Large Model Association scheme (approved by the CAA) for model aircraft over 80KG. It underwent 12 test flights for combined flight time of more than 2 hours to get it's LMA\CAA certificate to fly at public shows.

A rarely modelled scale radio controlled aircraft in an amazing scheme applied by the master, Philip Noel of Pinnacle Aviation.

Specifications of this fantastic model.

Length: 19 Feet
Weight: 220 Lbs
Engines: 4 x ZDZ 90cc petrol
Props: 4 x 28 x 10 Biela Carbon
Radio: Futaba 14 Channel
Servos: 22 (13 channels for ailerons, elevator, rudder, flaps, throttle x 4, landing gear and lights)

Large scale Handley Page 42 Vintage 1930s Airliner
Undoubtedly a work of flying art and a very well setup reproduction of this 1930s airliner. Worth watching the engine start sequence alone ! Flown by Joachim Damrath, this Handley Page 42 oozes style and elegance as it cruises around the sky at the Airliner Treffen Show. At 1/10th scale the Wing span / wingspan is 3.96 metres and length is 2.8 metres. A fantastic and unique flying aircraft of a bygone era of airliner passenger travel.
