Gulfstream III N30LX Italian AF?

Post by Gulfbiz6 »

Does someone know what the current status is of Gulfstream III N30LX. A couple of years ago it was leased to the Italian AF as special mission aircraft (Dragon Star ISR).

I saw a report from November 2018 that is was noted at California City which is a Gulfstream parts dealer.
Is the aircraft WFU and parted out at Cal City? Or was it only there for maintenance? Is it still active and in Italian service? Is it back to Lockheed Martin?

Thanks a lot.

Most likely the aircraft is wfu. Also the contract with the AMI was for 1 year (in 2011) with an option for two more years. It was mainly seen operating in the USA for the past couple of years, so I assumed it has long since been returned to Lockheed Martin.
Cheers,
