An online news report shows the KA-27 (EDIT: actually KA-28) as being on the back of ship number 012 which the reporter said was from the Vietnam Navy. I looked carefully at my photos and realised I'd completely missed the chopper amongst the deck hardware. It was partly covered with a tarpaulin but had a panel showing the number "27".
A bit more research and I got this Vietnamese news webpage of the ship's visit to Malaysia with a photo of KA-28 7527 (Edited) on deck.

The same video shows the helicopters that took part in the fleet review flypast at the beginning. Looks like the same ones that were used in the demos. I can't see an Alouette on the deck of any of the ships reviewed in the film unfortunately.

Final ship/heli tieup is for ship number 575 - CNS Yueyang of the China Navy. In the open hangar was the tail of a Harbin Z-9C.
Lots of image enhancement of multiple raw files, shows it to be 9417. Pictured here in May 2018.
Hi all just doing a tidy up of my logs for the year and realise I still need tie ups for the PC-7's that flew in the opening ceremony on the 26th of March. There is a list of the one's that took part in the rehearsals on the 24th but not the 26th.
I viewed these from the hotel as I was unable to enter the show until 10 am the opening display being around 8 am.
If anyone can supply these I'd be very grateful.

Unfortunately I can't help, as I didn't arrive on the island till the 27th.
