(I)UH-1 on the gate at De Kooij: where did it go?

Post by frank kramer »

I seem to have missed something (literally)... we drove past De Kooij/EHKD today and I noticed that the Huey that used to be preserved near the gate is gone. Where did it go?

My wish and just speculation is to make room for the SH-14D 260.

it's at Gilze for restoration and wil be back somewere next year. The Lynx will be placed at the end of 2020 at the new gate south of the base!

Thanks for the update! Good to hear it’s being restored and not, as I feared briefly, that it had been scrapped.
