Post by Trabanti »

4 Torrejon Hornets with 3 droptanks each just landed here, codes are:
12-15
12-18
12-20
12-26

Just a lunchtop? Will update topic in case I witness their departure.

Also on the ground is Travis C-5 70030.

I thought so too. They were not showing on ADS-B, not sure if they're north- or homebound. I'm in position for departure shots, expect they'll leave after lunch.

Thought I heard them too an hour or so ago, but they're still here @ 3 PM and I'm gonna call it a day due to the more and more unfavourable position of the sun.. Good luck all!

There were only 4 I'm afraid. They left around the time you posted, 16.50? That's going to be a late arrival in Torrejon then.

A spanish official video shows a flight of five making a low pass over Torrejon and 12-02 and 12-15 taxiing in?

There are more possibilities:
- as hendriks stated, there may actually have been five (perhaps one arriving earlier or later at Spang)
- if there were four, one might have taken off from Torrejon to welcome them,
- etc.

who knows?

True, the 5th one could have made a low straight-in just before the 4-ship came overhead (fuel priority?). I was standing near the chapel so I could have missed it. However, I find it unlikely as the circuit was fairly busy at that time with F-16's returning. Also, I should have heard it taxiing. And only 4 were reported to have left Siauliai in the first place..

As long as no-one id'd the 5th one, it will remain a question mark. I have the 4 photo-proven.

Cheers, Bart

Hi. I have a picture with code 12-02 on it. That nummer is missing in your post. I,am glad that you read the otter 4 because I could only read 12-15. But again thanks for posting in the first place otherwise I would have miss them.

Greetings Arie
