US ARMY announces next deployment to Europe: 3rd CAB

According a press release from 16 August the 3rd Infantry Division Combat Aviation Brigade from Fort Stewart Hunter Army Airfield will deploy to Europe to replace the 1st Infantry Division Combat Aviation Brigade. To be in place by the coming winter. No further dates and totals of helicopters mentioned.

According the current factsheet on the Atlantic Resolve website for the 3CAB deployment the aircraft, wheeled vehicles and other equipment will be shipped in October to Zeebrugge in Belgium and Volos in Greece. The schedule for ARC Endurance is now with an arrival in Savannah on 30-09, an arrival in Zeebrugge on 14-10 and arrival in Volos on 24-10.

According the arrival list for Zeebrugge Port, Endurance is expected on 14-10 at 01:00 local time and departure on 17-10 at 22:22 local time. Marinetraffic shows it is currently still in Savannah.

I think the US Army would like to have many options due to fuel, weather, u/s aircraft and so have some alternates.
