Stored inside Hangar 8:
4C-AH Yak-11 nn Austrian AF broken up
Are you sure there was also a fuselage of a Yak-11 here, wings with c/n 171229 (from 4C-AH) were noted.
According the museum they have currently only the wings.
I had a good look myself, and I couldn't see more thang wings and small bits, definately no fuselage was seen by me.

Can somebody confirm the Draken cockpit simulator in the museum is 35531? And I could use a contact address for the museum, to enquire about the preserved gliders.
Cheers,

Hi All

Whilst we were in the museum, my mate Stan got a tap on his shoulder by a museum guide.
"Do you want to see two aircraft you can't see?" he was asked. Never one to turn down such an offer he said yes!
We were taken behind some screens and shown the L19 3A-BM and the Safir 3F-SR. We were informed that the L-19 was airworthy but there were no immediate plans to put it back into the air. We were also told that the wings nearby were from a Yak18 and they had just refurbished the engine and that was now running. There are plans to run it one sunday per month in the future. There was no mention of a fuselage being present.

Hope that helps
