For those interested: the Italians are for now expected to fly a local mission on Tuesday (possibly), Wednesday (afternoon) and Thursday (mid day).

De Italianen en 312 F16's doen mee aan oefening Cold Iglo 2019.
Andere deelnemers:
Buchel: 4x 492FS F15E + Tornado's van TLG33
Norvenich: 3x F16C 10elt (Polen) en EF2000's van TLG31 als tegenstanders
Wittmund: 3x L-159 Czech AF als tegenstanders

Het is niet door nederlanders verzonnen (had gekunt idd), het is een NATO oefening.
Het is btw Cold Igloo met dubbel O, oh.

De naam "Cold Igloo" komt nog uit de tijd van voor de val van de Berlijnse muur. Het was de naam voor de TACEVAL-oefeningen van toen waar NATO evaluators een éénheid of basis testten op hun inzetbaarheid onder oorlogsomstandigheden.

The final mission this week will not be flown on Thursday but on Friday. On Thursday no Cross Servicing mission will be flown. This weeks exercise is apparently not called Cold Igloo. Cold Igloo will run on October 21, 23 and 24.

So: the first part of this exercise was called Decisive North (week38), the second part Cross Servicing (this week) and the final part Cold Igloo (week 43).

Friday mission will start around 9.00 local, just like today

9.00 lt friday is the time the training areas are available, so it is possible take off is later then 9.00
