In this light, for me personally the most relevant question would be: will they operate from the carrier, or from the airbase?Belgaviation wrote:Sorry, partially n French
The Task Force 473 built around the French carrier Charles de Gaulle is going to take part to Frisian Flag after a one month deployment in the Mediterranean Sea. She left the port of Toulon on Tuesday.
And were will it drop it's anchor? And will it be in the harbour before, during or after FF? And if so, wich harbour?Polleke_NL wrote:In this light, for me personally the most relevant question would be: will they operate from the carrier, or from the airbase?Belgaviation wrote:Sorry, partially n French

Fun as always, but for some it's sort of necessary to know in order to define whether or not it's worth while to take a day off and plan the trip or not. After all, the majority of the gathering crowd does not reside near Leeuwarden, nor do they enjoy an unlimited number of days off to spend.....frank kramer wrote:Don’t you just love the anticipation.. two months to go before everything is revealed!
Yes it definately will drop it’s anchor at some stage, it will be in port both before and after FF but no idea which one. Most likely Brest at some stage!Rabbit wrote:And were will it drop it's anchor? And will it be in the harbour before, during or after FF? Naval base Den Helder is out of limits. Draught of the carrier is 9,43 mtrs, while the max. draught for Naval base Den Helder still is around 9 mtrs.
Another option, if anyway wanted, would be Texel Roads.
