VIDEO / Air-to-air over Sydney Harbour: Boeing 747-400ER Qantas

29-03-2020

Today, March 29, VH-OEE has operated what is said to be the final revenue flight before retirement: QF28 from Santiago de Chile.

Before landing at Sydney airport, the iconic 747 passed over Sydney Harbour at 2,100ft.

Sources close to the airline say this was the last ever Qantas 747 revenue flight (passenger service),
after more than 48 years in operation.

The fleet was sold to an unknown buyer in the early hours of Friday morning,
they will be ferried to Mojave in California in the upcoming weeks.
When she lands at 17:30 local time on Sunday March 29th 2020,
Australia’s romance with Boeing’s greatest jet will have come to an end.
