Last year we at norvenich we spoke to a local spotter there, that gold us there was a fire at manching THE central storage of the German navy and airforce.. A lot of spare parts of the Tornado and Orion where lost during the fire.. If this is true I dont think they have much choice... As making new parts for old jets is expensive...

About the fire, that’s correct. Most parts destroyed were for the Orion
