Very often I see on adsb aircraft accurately avoiding Dutch airspace. At this moment a RAF C-130 is flying from Berlin back to the UK. Most logical routing would be to cross the middle of the Netherlands from east to west but it flew to the south of Limburg and then heading to the west overflying Belgium. I see this very often on adsb also with other aircraft/air arms. Anybody an idea why? Are there soms other rules in the Netherlands? What is the difference with Belgium? Anybody an idea??

Think with the less civil flying these days due to covid, direct routings and/or cutting corners can be approved more easily by ATC than following airways strictly.

They were not allowed to fly overhead The Netherlands because they had no diplomatic clearance. They mentioned this on 132.855 as they wanted to deviate course.
The easiest airway routes from germany to the UK are across Belgium. If you want to go over the netherlands they either can't follow airways or they will have to fly way north, making belgium more efficient. There are pretty much no west to east and east to west routes across the netherlands.
Maybe there are also other reasons for it
Thanks for the answers guys. I don't have much knowledge about the clearances or why not but i'll guess it has something to do with that. Maybe it's the cargo or the time of requesting clearance but I thought it was strange that an RAF A400 earlier was overflying NL and an RAF C-130 some hours later avoided NL. Lithuanian C-27's also seems to avoid NL airspace when they fly to Brussels.
Anyway, thank you for the answers. I'll keep studying adsb
