J-624 komt nog een keertje naar Volkel gevlogen, waarmee dat de laatste vlucht zal zijn.

Another 2 Dutch Vipers bite the dust this month and are withdrawn from use (J-002 and J-624) resulting in 58 remaining operational Dutch F-16's. The 3 squadrons stationed in the Netherlands are now equipped with 15 to 16 airframes.

Correct but since 10 are based in the USA you can almost deduct them, since most of us sadly are not going to see them anymore. So only 48 left in the Netherlands.

Correct but since 10 are based in the USA you can almost deduct them, since most of us sadly are not going to see them anymore. So only 48 left in the Netherlands.

It surprises me as well how quickly it goes especially because according to the JSF introduction planning 61 F-16's should be operational in 2020: https://www.rekenkamer.nl/onderwerpen/j ... 6-naar-jsf

Ja er zouden in 2020 al 18 JSF geleverd moeten zijn (10 in NL en 8 in USA). Denk niet dat we dat gaan redden of wel?

Still more then the amount of F35s we will have when all of them are delivered..

J-871 flew for the first time this year, it made a test flight from Woensdrecht as Dozer1 acc to WoensdrechtAS/ads-b.

And was re-delivered to Leeuwarden AFB on May 7, still with toned down 322 badge and Frisian tailband.

Ik moet even terug komen op de J-142, deze is achteraf niet naar Portugal verscheept, omdat het frame teveel verbogen was.
Portugezen hebben elders een ander frame op de kop getikt.
De J-142 is tegelijk met de J-213 in de shredder verdwenen volgens een KLu ooggetuige die er bij was
