Hilco, it looks like the last three from yesterday morning are still in Hungary.Hilco wrote:Anyone able to confirm if there are still some choppers present at Pápa?
Apart from these, CH-47 13-08132, and H-60s 10-20264, 11-0388 and 12-20461 were heading west over Nürnberg too yesterday, unknown if they stopped at Dresden acc to FF.jurgen wrote:It were 8 Apaches and 5 Blackhawks.
Numbers confirmed were:
HH-60M 13-20615
UH-60M 12-20455
AH-64D 03-05395
AH-64D 06-07014
AH-64D 08-05543
The latter two are not in the overview list in this thread.
I heard some of the 3CAB Apaches will stay behind to replace 1CAB aircraft.
Interesting! So either more than 24 Apaches of 3rd CAB got deployed, or the list is incorrect. Anyway, I updated the new serials on page2 of the overview.jurgen wrote:It were 8 Apaches and 5 Blackhawks.

These two 'extra' Apaches are (former) USAREUR machines, at least they are listed as such (1-3rd AVN / 12 CAB)Sjoerd wrote:Interesting! As for the replacement theory, 1 CAB has left the European theatre last year (and is operating the AH-64E), so I think you mean the upcoming 101st CAB? They however are also operating the E-version?! Time will tell!
11-20428 AE5382 on its way as R20428, leaving Papa..Paul wrote:11-20416. AE51CC just departed PaPa inbound Illesheim I suppose..
Nope, 1CAB left some Chinooks behind last time.Sjoerd wrote:jurgen wrote: As for the replacement theory, 1 CAB has left the European theatre last year (and is operating the AH-64E), so I think you mean the upcoming 101st CAB? They however are also operating the E-version?! Time will tell!
