Kinloss Barracks (EGQK/FSS)

Post by Le Addeur noir »

KIN Tuesday 04th February,

Due to arrive in the United Kingdom today is the first Poseidon for the RAF-ZP801. Arrival here either late today or early tomorrow is anticipated.

This will then operate from here for most of 2020 and be joined by at least one other example in due course.

Once work is complete at nearby RAF Lossiemouth, the Poseidons will move into their new home.

Edit,

FC advise ZP801 filed in at 13:00 as RRR7078.

There will be a period during the summer when the Lossie Typhoons ( apart from the QRA, which will be operating from Leuchars) will be operating from here.

Kinloss Friday 22nd March visitor,

ZE708 BAe 146 CC.3 32sqn RRR1527 arr 11:10? from EGWU dep 12:45? to EGVN

These timings are very vague estimates.

Perhaps its visit has something to do with an ongoing SAR operation in which a Hercules from Brize is currently involved in.

Neil

Nearby Lossie is now closed for runway repairs and there are currently( from 14th August) a dozen plus Typhoons on the flight line here. Fighter Control should have a updated list available.

The 2 RAF P-8s are also here.
