I have further to say that no cars are allowed near the fence at the 25 approach. In the past week some police men allowed this, but in the next week every car near the fence will get a ticket or will be towed away!

Yesterday (Thursday) we were early (7.45 or so) at 25 approach and there was no police (yet) to stop traffic. About 20 cars were already parked. Around 13.00 (after return of the 1st wave) a police officer notified everybody to remove their cars within the next hour. Fine would be around EURO 170 plus potentially car would be towed away. Must say the police were extremely polite and friendly, no complaints.
One can park the car in the grass on the verge of the road to Wisserheim (take care when crossing the busy L495 !). From the Wisserheim parking spot (est. space for ca. 30 cars) ideally one can take a (folding) bike to 25 approach (ca. 10 minutes) or walk (25 minutes). Step ladders were tolerated but not placed against the fence.
There were quite a few wasps around, so avoid sweet stuff and stay calm (they'll go away). Enjoy and don't leave your trash behind !

We tried west side of the field (runway "07" on the Scramble guide) yesterday afternoon.
They turned the runway after departure of the 2nd wave to approaches from the west. Only the (early) returning 31+39 just squeezed in from the east.
Driving to the spots along B477 took around 10 minutes. Coming from the south on 477, on the left there are a few narrow gravel roads. Thursday, police was present at the gravel road next to the approach lights and seems they were OK with the spotters. We were parked along another gravel road a little to the south. No police there. Officially these gravel roads are only for local agricultural traffic, so police may send you away. Place is not ideal and light challenging but decent pictures are possible. No idea about take-off shots from there. Suspect the fighters are already pretty high.

Can anyone give some info on today's parking/spotting conditions?
Same applied today. We approached the field from the South and where directed to the grass.
It is approx 20 min walk. Approach is large field (with some low trees) no stepledder really needed. At the fence a stepledder is needed/handy.
Dear aviation friends, will the IDF F-16's fly Thursday 27 august?
I guess nobody knows.....
It would surprise me if they didn't however, although I can imagine they will only fly a morning mission as they will be leaving very early on Friday morning allegedly. But this is pure speculation on my part!
