In addition to the retirement of the L-39ZA/ART fleet this week, Tuesday 30th March also witnessed the retirement of 2 Fighting Falcons from the squadrons at Wing 1 at Khorat RTAFB.
The specific aircraft being de-commissioned were F-16A code 10207 (ex USAF 81-0690 )from 102 Sqn and F-16B code 10321 (Ex Republic of Singapore Air Force 887) from 103 Sqn.
It is interesting to note that despite these jets being in the inventory of the RTAF for some 17 years-give or take, their actual Thai serials have never been confirmed.
