With the change in Holzdorf from Bell UH-1D "Huey" (left) to LUH SAR (right), all 3 SAR commands of the #Bundeswehr are now equipped with the new helicopter. That means: We can now support civilian air rescue even better around the clock.

Does that mean all German UH-s have now been retired? Or are there still some flying (e.g. with WTD61)?
Cheers,

Difficult to find information about that, what i did find is this: https://www.szlz.de/region/bueckeburg_a ... 60092.html

This helicopter will have finished its farewell flights in the middle of 2021 and will land in Bückeburg after the last flight, in order to then find its last stand in the Bückeburg helicopter museum.

At the end of June the last machine with a "Goodbye Huey!" Special paint job will be brought to the helicopter museum in Bückeburg, Lower Saxony.

This news item relates (only/specifically) to the three SAR units (Luftwaffe, afaik), so not necessarily the Army THR still operating the Huey. However, even there it is rapidly becoming an endangered species...
