F-16 TIJDENS TAXIËN VAN DE BAAN

Een F-16 gevechtsvliegtuig van de vliegbasis Volkel is gisteren tijdens het taxiën op de Canadese vliegbasis Cold Lake van de baan geraakt en in het gras terechtgekomen.

Bij het incident raakte het neuswiel van de F-16 beschadigd. De vlieger bleef ongedeerd. Het ongeval gebeurde in de aanloop naar de internationale oefening Maple Flag, waaraan volgende week elf Nederlandse toestellen deelnemen. Naar de toedracht van het incident is een onderzoek ingesteld

Expect normal flying activities this Friday. This means; first take-off around 09.30 lt. Currently about 6 to 8 a/c can be seen throughout the day (including QRA-a/c).

O yes, Bluebird 50 (or 58 not sure) A-292 if am not mistaken and PH-RPV

A few minutes ago two Mirage F.1's made a nice approach at Volkel.
Callsign was FAF7830....

Anyone for the serials??

Cor phoned me and told me the following.
10.50 FB14
11.15 2x Mirage F1
11.20 FA126 + FA127
Unfortenately the Mirages where too high to read a number or code from the pic, maybe on the computer screen.

Merde... should'nt leave my office... missed the F1s (no help there I'm afraid) and the 2 Belgians (which included one of the final 2 I need...).

Missing WA van Buuren did'nt spoil my week :-)

Also KDC-10 T-264 made a high pass over Volkel.
