Just wondering, does someone know how long it takes to assemble an A333? Maybe the first for KLM is due to start final assembly soon in Toulouse or is already in the FAL.......
February is 7 months away, so if you take 1 month for flight testing that should leave 6 months for the build.

Disregard, just realized that Airbus assembles an A380 in about 3 months (http://forum.a380production.com/board/s ... F-7)/page2 this is from convoy to roll-out if I'm correct) I guess they can put the A330 together even quicker.

[off-topic] Didn't realize until today that PH-TFF isn't really a 'lucky number'... in 1952 PH-TFF, a L-749 Constellation from KLM, had a prop failure, resulting in a #3 engine fire on approach to Bangkok. Aircraft landed safely but due to the fire the gear collapsed. All aboard escaped uninjured, but the plane burnt and was a write-off.
And another KLM 737PG will leave commercial service. PH-BTF (737-400) will fly it's last commercial services on Sunday 21 August. Aircraft is for sale.
On the 22nd of August the KLM fleet has left 6 active 737PG's:
733: BDO, BTD
734: BDW, BTA, BTB, BTG
Notes:
1) PH-BDT is presently in Hg10 for lessor return activities. Redelivery during Sep11.
2) PH-BPB and PH-BPC are stored in NWI and will be scrapped during the next few months.

Same goes for ArkeFly's PH-TFA, which was a written off after an acccident with an Douglas C47-A at Oslo 20-11-1949.
PH-BGT, the next but one 737-700 for KLM made its first flight yesterday. PH-BGS is a helicopter for anyone wondering! I see from the Schiphol part of this forum that PH-BGR should arrive on 26th August.
