Yes... Visable from a long distance. Not worth the effort in my opinion. All aircraft are parked on the south-side of the base.

Flying?

Post by Hornet69 »

Hi all,

can anybody tell me if Frisian Flag participants are flying once or twice during the day?

And do they have academic days like TLP?

If they do fly once do they fly during morning hours or in teh afternoon?

Any answer more then welcome.

Grtz,

Edward.

Thanks very much for the answer. We will be in Holland anyway so well worth a look! Can anyone tell me the best spot to see them on the airfield guide? Many thanks, Tim.

Tim,

Frysian Flag Participants can be seen from outside.
The "right" spot is when you drive from spot 4 to spot 5.
After passing rwy 06 and then the first farmhouse on the right hand side off the road. From this position you have a distant vieuw on the southern taxi track. The foreign participants off FF2008 are parked at this location.

Does it bother you that much that it is worth to ask?

I would focus on the fact that he is reporting and posting on Leeuwarden on a regular basis, which is a good thing.

Greetings,
Stefan
