The Lynx is kept by Libia as long as Malta does not return the Mirage F1's. I think that is the statement made by Libya. See the link in the post from Malcolm Bezzina.

According to NLMOD the crew will arrive in NL this afternoon.

So, what did we learn: never believe the press. Ever. However, don't become a conspiracy theorist either. Anyway: the Lynx was (financially) written off already, so... Perhaps we can bomb the sh*t out of it, just like the Americans did with the remains of their mudhen?
