I’m not saying that in this particularly crash anyone should be blamed.

I will say that the skyraider pilot should be blamed 100%. In formation, you fly off of lead. Even through the pitchout. I dont know what he was looking at, but it wasnt lead or he wouldnt have hit him. Its poor flying that caused that crash and great luck that no one was killed.

As you can see, the Skyraider ripped off P51s LH horizontal stabilizer.

BTW excellent pilot recovery skills (F-AZDP).

No it is not, the counter for New Topic currently shows 2280389! And there are other that have more. But you surely posted some interested pictures and applause is worth a lot more than a lot of views to useless topics.

I'm pretty sure some newspaper or website may have pointed their readers to your photos. There is no way the local forum population will create this many hits in just a couple of hours. And just to be honest, it makes very good sense that people are pointing to your photos. I hope some magazines will ask you to let them use your photos.

The New Topic counter is, as its content, of no relevance to anyone or anything! The counter may even have been manipulated, like its content.

@ Iwan, perhaps, you are going, too fast ?

There where many spotters present.
Not all did see what happend. Pict. no 2 is a pricewinner, for sure, but the others ?
Still they are, from a very high level


But like just me, there where many more spotters, who have taken photographs from the fly-by
and the landing.

Not that mine, are from the same quality
( But, i did give them, a watermark after reading this topic...)

Hi all,

I've been reading on here for a while, but never made the jump and actually registered until now, so firstly hi!
Having also attended Flying Legends 2011 I was deeply saddened at the loss of such a beautiful aircraft yesterday, but obviously very relieved that both pilots involved were unharmed. This is a testament to the skill of these guys and having looked at the footage and photos I'm still find it remarkable that Rob managed to get out of BBD before impact, I guess you could say he's a very luck chap!

Johan, well done, excellent photos. Thank gods both pilots walked away unharmed, but the loss of a P-51 is sad.
