This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |
Hahaha, don´t worry Lars, that sure aint the case. As a matter a fact i should have listened to you and get to EHAM a lot earlier then what i did, cause that would have given me a lot more photo opportunity´s. Nice shots mister! by the way, about the framing, i think you´ll get used to it after one or two more sessions. Let´s not forget it´s a matter of taste too, so stay to your own style and image personality......LarsEHAM wrote:Thanks guys!
@Tom yeah I still need to get used to using my feet (or bike) instead of the zoom ring.
@CoHaBa I think to know how you are two... (do you use sigma 70-200?)
@Andras I am not really 100% satisfied my self with my framing (yet)
@Menno what to say... amazing shots as always! , (I hope you where not anticipating more water spray effects because of my text message )
Not sure if you mean my number 4, but if so, you are absolutely right! though there still was atmospheric disturance left, it´s getting better and better, yihaaaa!bigfoot wrote:4 is wonderful. You instantly see that the air temperature dropped a bit to make these great distance horizontally shot images crispy!!! The season has begun!

One of your best, the light is exactly right!.. Wall material (you have lots of that) This is my favorite shot!
Yeah I know, just wondering if you were prepared to change your believewild weasel wrote:
@ Andras: Though i really, really do like 16:9, i will do some 3:4 next time, especially for you....
Hahaha, sorry Andras, i have tried with these two piccies, but i just can´t get used to it (have a lot of disturbing material in the picture that i don´t want), so again two 16:9 imagesAndras wrote:Yeah I know, just wondering if you were prepared to change your believewild weasel wrote:

Andras wrote: @Douwe, good quality shots dude, what is wrong with the 300?? It's a great lens, give it time...
Hahaha, you´re comments are allways hillarious Douwe, hahaha! but it´s much appreciated, thanks buddy. But seriously, listen, with the equipment that you have got (1000D + kitlens), your pictures are truly very good. It´s like Andras has said before, you are at the top of what you can do considering the equipment that you have. You holding a 40D, 50D, 60D, 7D, 1D (to name some examples), with some high quality piece of glass, will give you exactly the same results.....and will bring you straight into what you like to call the Champions league.....believe me!dvdzee wrote:Andras wrote: @Douwe, good quality shots dude, what is wrong with the 300?? thnkx Andras.....maybe I'm just pushing "too much"....the quality and colors of the Sigma 70 mm - 300 mm - F/4.0-5.6 - Canon EF are not that good as my 55 mm - 250 mm - F/4.0-5.6 - IS Canon EF-S; it needs "too much" light and it is very slow compared to the canon and gives my 50% more "unsharp" / out of focus shots.
And guys I SERIOUSLY suggest that we give Menno & Lars a forum of their own, a Champions League de Lux forum, to post pictures : these guys come at least from Alpha Centauri or further away....it's just "amazing" ( UNDERSTATEMENT ) what they do.....
Next time when I see Menno I will quietly retreat to a place behind some big tree and just come back whem Menno is gone
