In this months AFM (issue #289, page 9) it is mentioned that the Royal Canadian Air Force has agreed with Germany to use Kolnn-Bonn as their main European hub thereby leaving Spang. Also an indication of things to come?

I don't think so, they wanted to leave Spang anyway. They also evaluated Eindhoven as a hub but in the end they opted for Cologne.
