KLM has announced an additional daily flight to Liverpool from 10 MAY2010:

- KL1045 AMS2045 – 2105LPL F70 Daily

- KL1038 LPL1400 – 1615AMS F70 Daily = NEW
- KL1042 LPL1720 – 1935AMS F70 Daily

KLM wil op de meeste routes de capaciteit behouden en in opkomende markten, zoals China, uitbreiden. Zo gaat de maatschappij vaker vliegen naar Shanghai en Chengdu en wordt begin mei een nieuwe route naar Hanghzou geopend. Ook vliegt KLM vaker naar Seoel en wordt de afgelopen winter gestarte lijndienst naar Denpasar via Singapore voortgezet.

Binnen de samenwerking met Delta Air Lines gaat de capaciteit op transatlantische routes met een procent omhoog. Onder andere de bestemmingen Boston, Seattle en Portland worden vaker aangevlogen. In samenwerking met Kenya Airways worden twee vluchten per dag naar Nairobi uitgevoerd.

In het Midden-Oosten vergroot KLM de capaciteit naar Dubai tot dertien vluchten per week, waarvan zes met een Airbus A330-200 en zeven met een Boeing 747 Combi. Naar Teheran wordt de wekelijkse frequentie opgevoerd tot zes wekelijkse vluchten.

In Afrika staan extra vluchten naar Cairo, Entebbe en Dar Es Salaam in de planning. Het aantal vluchtfrequenties naar belangrijke bestemmingen als Lagos, Accra, Kaapstad en Johannesburg blijven gelijk.

In Zuid-Amerika wordt de vliegfrequentie naar Paramaribo vanaf het begin van het zomerseizoen uitgebreid tot vijf wekelijkse vluchten. Tijdens het hoogseizoen staat nog een extra wekelijkse vlucht gepland. Sao Paulo wordt net als deze winter zeven keer per week bediend.

Binnen Europa wordt het aantal dagelijkse vluchten naar München, Stuttgart, Stockholm, Göteborg, Edinburgh, Liverpool en Toulouse verhoogd. Sint Petersburg wordt in samenwerking met partner Rossiya twaalf keer per week aangevlogen.

De start van het nieuwe zomerseizoen betekent ook het einde van de Fokker 50 in dienst van KLM cityhopper.

Waar je het kan vinden is een goeie maar LH Cityline, SAS, Adria en Belavia (en wellicht nog Sevenair als invaller voor Tunis) lijken mij de airlines die met een CRJ deze kant op komen

in de nacht dat de zomertijd ingaat, en dat is altijd de laatste zondag van maart...

There remains uncertainty about the Summer schedule ATL-AMS-ATL.

In January 2010 Delta published advanced schedules for the high summer season indicating a new 3rd daily service with B767-300 operating in the afternoon/evening 6x/week ex.Tue.

In February Delta deleted this new flight from the schedules.

In March 2010, KLM has released a new codeshare service on AMS-ATL-AMS which may indicate that the 3rd service operated by Delta will operate this summer, however it would be with an A330-200 not a B767-300ER.

Once again a wait and see!

Well finally Delta has released the schedule for the 2nd DL frequency on ATL-AMS-ATL for the period 11 June - 25 August:

So both the frequency and the capacity have been increased from B767-300ER to A330-200 and from 6x/week to 7x/week since the initial DL publication in January 2010.
