Hi,

This one was at ADEX in Seoul alright. Others noted at Kadena from 10-12 October were:

168425/LN P-8A VP-45
168430 P-8A no mks (might be a typo!!!)
168431/LD P-8A VP-10
168756/LN P-8A VP-45
168763/LD P-8A VP-10
168858/LD P-8A VP-10
168996 P-8A no mks AAS pod
169010 P-8A no mks AAS pod

P-3s present were EP-3s 156893 and 157325 and AAS equipped 161587 and 161588 (both unmarked).

Regards, Paul

168764 LN-764 of VP-45 has been photographed at Kadena within the last week from 23.11.2019.

168425 isn't a P-8A. 168429 has been identified as being present with VP-45 (LN).

Overall, so far it looks like a very mixed picture, one reference I’ve seen mentioned is 20.2 as a Dynamic Deployment and with what I’ve picked up so far it seems to give that view.
I think the main bodies VP-1/Kadena, VP-16/Shaikh Isa, VP-26/Misawa, VP-47/Sigonella are correct but seems one or two frames maybe stepped to other bases, mixed & mingled.

20.2 April 2020-October 2020

VP-47 "Golden Swordsmen"
Sigonella/(Comalapa) LICZ/(MSLP*)
(168758),(168760*)(168853),169002,169328,(169331),169334

VP-16 "War Eagles"
Shaikh Isa/Djibouti/(Sigonella) OBBS/HDAM*/(LICZ**)
168436,168759,168762(**),168855,(168860**),169000,(169324)*

VP-1 "Screaming Eagles"
Kadena RODN/(RJSM*)
168849,168997,169329(*),169337,169343,169345,169347

VP-26 "Tridents"
Misawa/Comalapa RJSM/MSLP*
(168432),(168433),(168440/169010),168848,168857*,(169003),169007

168760/VP-47 was the airframe involved with the intercept with the Russian Su-35s recently so puts him at LICZ not MSLP, the VP-47 connection down in Southcom was to do with the enhanced narcotics operations prior to VP-47 deploying to LICZ which also explains why at least two VP-47 airframes came out of KNIP to LICZ when they deployed a few weeks ago.
